Dirty Chai Latte Donuts

The perfect combination of spicy and sweet, these dirty chai latte donuts are the best slow weekend baking treat! Vegan and gluten free chai spiced donut baked until golden and fluffy, dipped in a sweet coffee glaze. You can have your donuts and coffee all in one!

Chai Latte Donuts

  • 2 ¼ cup gluten free baking flour
  • ½ cup coconut sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp allspice
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • ¼ tsp cardamom
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1 ½ cups of oat milk (or other non-dairy milk)
  • ¼ cup melted coconut oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Coffee Glaze

  • ½ cup cold brew coffee
  • ¼ cup coconut cream
  • 1 cup powdered monk fruit sugar (I used lakanto brand)*


Serving Suggestion:

Serve with hot coffee or chai tea!

How To:

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 400 degrees. Next, spray 2 donut pans with non-stick spray, set aside.
  2. To a large mixing bowl add all of your dry ingredients, gluten free baking flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, baking soda and spices. Stir to combine.
  3. To that same mixture, add your non-dairy milk, melted coconut oil and vanilla extract. Whisk until fully combined, do not over mix!
  4. You can either spoon the mixture into the donut molds, or you can add mixture to a piping bag and fill until each donut mold is about ¾ of the way filled.
  5. Bake for 12 minutes. If you only have one donut pan, once your first batch is cooked, remove and place on a cooling rack and wait for the pan to cool down before baking your next batch.
  6. While donuts are cooling, make your coffee glaze by combining all ingredients in a bowl and whisking until smooth.
  7. Once donuts have cooled, dip each donut in the coffee glaze, give them 5-10 minutes for the glaze to set. Serve and enjoy!

*If you can not find refined sugar free powdered sugar, you can also use regular powdered sugar.
