  • 1 block of extra firm tofu
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke (optional)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup of your favorite vegan barbeque sauce
  • Salt & Pepper

Serving Suggestion:

  • Roasted vegetables
  • Brown Rice
  • Fresh Avocado

How To:

  1. Start by pressing your tofu. If you do not own a tofu press: remove your tofu from the package and drain water. Wrap in a clean towel or paper towels and place a heavy object on top. Either a cast iron skillet, books, etc. Let press for 20-30 minutes.
  2. While your tofu is pressing, preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Next, prepare your tofu by slicing in strips and then chopping into cubes. Add the tofu to a mixing bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Stir to coat, then pour over your cornstarch, garlic power, salt and pepper. Stir to combine until tofu is fully coated.
  4. Place on the baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Remove tofu from the oven and coat with bbq sauce and optional liquid smoke. Stir to combine and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until your tofu is crispy.
  5. Serve right away with your favorite sides and enjoy!
