Cinnamon Sugar Swirl Bread

VG - GF
Serving Size:
8-10

Reminiscent of one of my favorite childhood snacks, cinnamon sugar toast, this cinnamon swirl bread is the perfect sweet breakfast or afternoon snack! Vegan and gluten free, this bread is easy to make and allergen friendly!

Cinnamon Swirl Bread

  • 1 tbsp vegan egg replacement (I used bob's red mill brand)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 cups gluten free 1:1 baking flour
  • 1 cup sugar (or coconut sugar)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1 cup non dairy milk

Cinnamon Sugar

  • 1/2 cup sugar (or sub coconut sugar)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp cinnamon

Serving Suggestion:

Serve warm with your favorite non dairy yogurt and fruit for breakfast, or on its own as an afternoon snack!

How To:

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, line a loaf pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Then in a small mixing bowl, add your vegan egg replacement with water and stir. Let sit for about 5 minutes to thicken.
  3. Next, add your sugar and cinnamon to a small mixing bowl and stir to make your cinnamon sugar.
  4. Then, prepare your dough. In a separate large mixing bowl, add your dry ingredients, baking flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder and sea salt. Whisk until fully combined.
  5. The same bowl you prepared your vegan egg in, add your oil, non dairy milk and stir.
  6. Then, add your wet ingredients to your dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula until fully combined, do not over mix.
  7. Add half of your bread batter to the lined loaf pan. Then sprinkle half of your cinnamon sugar mixture evenly on top.
  8. Then, add the other half of your bread batter and sprinkle with the leftover cinnamon sugar.
  9. Place in the oven and bake for 50 minutes, or until a tooth pick comes out clean.
  10. Once removed from the oven, let sit in the loaf pan for 20-30 minutes. Then, remove from the pan by lifting the parchment paper, let cool an additional 10 minutes.
  11. When the loaf is cooled, slice, serve and enjoy!
