VG - GF - RF
Serving Size:
2 cups

This super savory, rich and creamy homemade hummus is the perfect transition to fall flavors! Spiced with cumin, garlic, cinnamon and a hit of nutmeg, pair this hummus with fresh pita, vegetables or add to your favorite morning avocado toast (my personal fav!)

  • 1 cup steamed butternut squash
  • 1 15 oz. can of chickpeas
  • ½ cup creamy tahini
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • ⅛ tsp nutmeg
  • Pepper to taste
  • Top with: Sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, fresh parsley, more olive oil.

Serving Suggestion:

How To:

  1. To a medium sized pot bring 2 inches of water to a boil and add a steamer basket. Dice 1 cup of butternut squash and add to your steamer basket. Cover pot with a tight fitting lid and steam for 7 minutes.
  2. While butternut squash is steaming, add remaining ingredients to a high speed blender or food processor. Once squash is done steaming, add to your blender and process until smooth. Add water or more olive oil if needed to reach desired consistency.
  3. Top with whatever toppings you choose and serve with warm pita, fresh vegetables or add to avocado toast, enjoy!
