Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Serving Suggestion:

Serve warm with cinnamon sugar coating and warm apple cider!

How To:

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 400 degrees. Next, spray 2 donut pans with non-stick spray, set aside.
  2. To a large mixing bowl add all of your dry ingredients, gluten free baking flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, baking soda and spices. Stir to combine.
  3. To that same mixture, add your apple cider, applesauce, apple cider vinegar, melted coconut oil and vanilla extract. Whisk until fully combined, do not over mix!
  4. You can either spoon the mixture into the donut molds, or you can add mixture to a piping bag and fill until each donut mold is about ¾ of the way filled.
  5. Bake for 12 minutes. If you only have one donut pan, once your first batch is cooked, remove and place on a cooling rack and wait for the pan to cool down before baking your next batch.
  6. While donuts are cooling, make your cinnamon sugar coating by combining all ingredients in a wide, shallow bowl..
  7. Once donuts have cooled, dip or brush each donut with melted coconut oil or vegan butter, and dip in cinnamon sugar coating one at a time. Serve warm and enjoy!
